Event Shots By Cafe

* Attendee Only shots are released to collectors attending a HRC Shot Glass Event and are made in very limited quantities. The tradition started in 2003 when many collectors went to the Lake Tahoe cafe following the Shot Rush Event and were sold a special shot for coming out. The shot glasses are not sold at the cafe and are normally released during the pre or post event party. The money raised by the sale of this shot glass is donated to a local charity in the event host city.

Prototypes of the attendee only shots are initially made as a proof before an order is processed. Where a second prototype exists, the initial proof was flawed or required a significant change. In a few cases, the manufacturer required more than 1 proof to be printed (up to 6).
There are 3 Texas Shot Showdown Prototype shots. Although these were printed as proofs, they were not intended to be prototypes. Unfortunately, when the remaining shots were printed, the manufacturer reduced the image size (dramatically) and the proofs are very different. The barb wire was also not printed on the final run.
There are 12 Texas Shot Showdown Black Outline shots, which were printed to reduce the amount of shots made as the manufacturer had a high minimum requirement. Considered a prototype because of the low print run.
There are 12 Denver misprints that were mixed in with the completed order. No proof was made.

Indianapolis - Dick's Pre-Party 2006 shot glasses had printing issues. The design had 3 proofs made to better select the final run:

Black ink on a frosted shot glass
Etching on a clear glass
Gold ink on a clear glass.

However, the design could not be printed clearly with the selected font and size. The wording above the car and through the car came out too small or smeared on all 3 proofs. The printer made a change to the font for the final run and it was printed using etching on clear glass. Here's the original design, as it appears on the prototype shots. There were 3 of each proof printed.

Drinking for Royalty 2006 - this is the only shot glass issued for the drinking contest, held most years at the pre-party events.

Washington, DC - Pinapalooza Event 2007 shot glass was sold for a minimum donation, which was sent to the Pentagon Memorial Fund. This non-profit organization is raising funds for the construction and maintenance of a memorial park to remember the lives lost on 9/11/01. Orlando Pins Gone Wild (Spring Break) - this shot glass was designed for the event but wasn't sold during the event because it hadn't arrived in time. It later went on sale during Spring Break.

Hollywood, FL Cherry Pickin' Buzzard Bash Pre-Party was hosted by Vincenzo "Vic the Tat" Vulture and the Local Vulture Culture at the Celebrations Wedding Chapel prior to the Hollywood, FL Garden of Good and Evil Event. The Pre-Party was also known as "Trading 'til Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil".

Mistake on shots (also check out the Mistake page):

Denver A Shot At 5280 Ft - the title was separated so that the A and At are on the end of the design and Shot 5280 ft are at the beginning. The problem with printing wrap around designs is the whole design often doesn't touch and the gap can hinder the image. In this case, 12 shots were misprinted before the vendor noticed and corrected the title to fit on one side. 2 of the 12 shots were significantly flawed (printing was scratched), leaving 10 in existence.

Ft. Lauderdale Attendee Only shots released at the 2010 HRC Shot Glass Collectors Event at the Pre-Party at John U Lloyd Beach Park. 72 made of the cordial, 159 of the lip shaped short.

New Orleans Swap In The Swamp - the word "Cafe" is clear on a couple of shot glasses where as on the original design the word is filled in white.

New Orleans Back To The Bayou - 300 shots made.

New Orleans Voodoo In The Bayou Pre-Party - 36 shots made.

Niagara Falls, NY Event 2010 - shot glasses were released a month after the event.

Orlando Winter Carnival - the original design has snowflakes printed all over the shot glass. Approximately 12 shot glasses have no snowflakes.

Washington, DC Pin Summit Event - the official release of this shot has the FBI agent wearing a blue tie. A handful of shot glasses have a grey tie.

Washington, DC Panda Charity 2009 and Pandapalooza Event 2009 - there were 96 shots made, has a matching pin.

Cleveland Heart of Rock 'n Roll Event 2009 - 96 shots made.

Hang Over in Penn Hills Post Event 2009 - 50 shots made of which 5 were prototypes (different font color). 4 of the 5 prototypes were auctioned for charity ($105 each) and the 5th was raffled. Brian G. and Amanda J.'s house is pictured.

Montreal Pinathon Event 2009 - 96 shots made and 3 pins from Montreal and 1 pin from Ottawa make up the design.

Montreal Pinathon Event 2009 (Mistake) - the hair for the "brunette" waitresses is white (color wasn't printed). Also, the 2nd waitress has no eyes. Unknown how many are in error.

Las Vegas PinSanity 5 2009 - all shots were limited to a production of 144.

Las Vegas PinSanity 6 2010 Film Girl Red was released by the Original cafe, the other 4 PinSanity shot glasses were released by the Strip cafe.

Las Vegas Entertainment Expo 2010 - #1 and #3 released by the LV Original Location (by the HRH) and # 2 in the series released by the LV Cafe on the Strip.

Washington, DC Pinapalooza Charity shot was released to benefit Fisher House, an organization which provides "a home away from home" for military families needing to be close to their loved one during hospitalization. Check out the charity website: www.fisherhouse.org.

Atlanta Southern PinFest 2009 was discovered in 2010. As the story goes, an attendee picked one up prior to the event for a shot collector. It turned out that the shots were not sold shortly after that due to quality issues. At present, only 1 is known to exist and the Atlanta cafe maintains that the remaining stock was destroyed, as per agreement with the shot manufacturer in order for the cafe to be reimbursed for the stock.

Washington, DC Panadapalooza 2011 - both shots were limited to a production of 96.

Chicago Pindy City Event 2011 - 144 made.
